About Me

Ryan has worked as a freelance DOP and Camera Operator for the past 8 years, based in Wellington, New Zealand. Prior to that, he worked as an Audio Visual Technician rigging, setting up and operating sound/video equipment and lighting for Concerts, Conferences and Events.

Ryan gained a Certificate in Film and TV in 2004 and worked with TVNZ as a Camera Assistant/Cabler where he worked on projects such as Lotto, Mitre10 Dream Home and various live Sports events.

Ryan furthered his studies in a Diploma in Film at the Southern Institute of Technology, graduating in 2017, before entering the Film and TV industry full time. 

Ryan is comfortable using a wide array of Digital Cinema Cameras, while also owning and operating a Sony CineAlta F55 and Sony FX9, Lighting and Sound Gear package of his own.
